Artistic Director Mark Vogel to Step Down at End of 2024/2025 Season
After nine seasons at the helm of International Voices Houston, Artistic Director Mark Vogel announced he will be stepping down in May after the final performances of the 2024/2025 season.
Mark was appointed Artistic Director in April 2016. At the end of the 2024/2025 season, the choir will have produced 19 concert programs under his direction, collaborated with several Houston arts organizations including WindSync, Kinetic Ensemble, Houston Ebony Opera Guild, Texas Medical Center Orchestra, and Arte Puro, and featured many Houston instrumentalists and vocalists.

- 2021/2022 Season: The Gift of Music, The Road Home
- 2022/2023 Season: Winter Moon, At the Movies: Hollywood to Bollywood
- 2023/2024 Season: Silver Bells, Encores
- 2024/2025 Season: Candle in the Window – Songs for Peace, ¡Viva la Música!

We still have many beautiful songs to sing this season. I’m extremely excited for this spring’s dynamic programming. And after our May performances, I will look back with pride at all of the global harmony we have created together over the past nine years.”

Mark is beloved by the choir and audience members alike and will be greatly missed. He will always be a part of the International Voices Houston family, and we wish him all the best in his future endeavors.
