Our website gets a makeover
International Voices Houston has a whole new look.
Unable to rehearse in person or perform live during the pandemic, International Voices Houston turned their focus toward virtual choir projects, but also some housekeeping projects that needed some attention.
“During a normal concert season, with weekly rehearsals and several multi-performance weekends, there just never seems to be enough hours in the day, and a lot of projects get put on the back burner. We had been wanting to update our logo and our website for quite a while, but it wasn’t necessarily a priority, more of a wish-list item. Suddenly, we had a lot of extra time on our hands, and we were able to tackle those projects. It was really a silver lining of the pandemic for us,” shared International Voices Houston Board President, Lindsay Reilly.
In the fall of 2020, International Voices Houston connected with Tushar Patel of Too Sharp Digital, LLC and began the rebranding process. Ms. Reilly, Artistic Director Mark Vogel and a small committee worked closely with Mr. Patel to create the new logo, one that suited the organization and its mission statement: Creating global harmony by celebrating and giving voice to human difference.
“When it came to the logo and the website, we knew we wanted something fresh, modern and colorful, to reflect not only our diverse membership, but also our message of global harmony. We were inspired by the blues and greens in images of Earth, and they just felt like the natural choice,” Ms. Reilly continued.
In December 2020, the bright new logo was revealed with the premiere of their first virtual concert, ‘Resilient Voices.’ And now, International Voices Houston is thrilled to unveil the fresh look of their newly designed website.
“Our previous website was sort of a one-stop shop: it had information for the public, but also a member area for our singers. Because we have partnered with Chorus Connection, a chorus management software company, we no longer needed the member area, which allowed us to turn the website more public facing. New features on the website give our audience a closer look at who we are, and what else we do when we’re not on stage performing.”
What’s new on voiceshouston.org:

- Volunteer Opportunities – Explore opportunities to volunteer for International Voices Houston
Ms. Reilly concluded, “We’re edging closer to being able to resume in-person choral activities, and with the rebranding, it will be a fresh start for us. We have a renewed sense of optimism, and we’re looking forward to discovering what the future holds for International Voices Houston.”
